The mighty Tensnake works his 80s remix magic on 'What You Need' by NTEIBINT & Matina Sous Peau!

Released earlier this summer, 'What You Need', the third collaboration between longstanding Eskimo DJ/producer George Bakalakos AKA NTEIBINT & fellow Athenian Matina Sous Peau has captivated listeners with is introspective lyrics, house beats and sun kissed disco melodies. Now as we head into Autumn Eskimo Recordings have tapped up acclaimed producer Tensnake to provide the track's first remix, a stunning 80s influenced number.

Wisely keeping Matina's vocals intact, Tensnake replaces the original's echo of 70s disco with something that nods more to the early 80s proto-house works of producers like Mark Kamins and François Kevorkian. Built around a looping synth melody and a solid 4/4 beat, with requisite 80s snares of course, Tensnake teases us with a bubbling synth bass line that suddenly explodes into hands in the air euphoria three minutes before switching back to a more sophisticated shuffle.

Whilst NTEIBINT's original carried with it the salt breeze of a warm Adriatic night, Tensnake's remix strikes the perfect note for mirrorball lit basement night clubs, ideally the kind with an accompanying light up dancefloor for good measure.
