Titiyo and Paresse release music video of ‘Sharpened Knife’, with guest appearance of climate activist Dominique Palmer

Posted on 06 May 2022

Award-winning Swedish artist Titiyo and producer Paresse follow in the footsteps of compatriot Greta Thunberg, with their newest track Sharpened Knife, which released on Earth Day in April. The video, directed by David Nord, also stars Dominique Palmer, who is known as the face of climate activism in the United Kingdom. Palmer has also been invited to speak at OVERHEATED by Billie Eilish, a climate change event taking place in London in the middle of June.

On April 22, International Earth Day, Titiyo and Paresse released Sharpened Knife. You might know Titiyo as the Award-Winning Swedish artist behind Come Along and half-sister of Neneh Cherry. With this music video, director David Nord shows what Mother Nature is going through by flashing images of Titiyo and digital representations of the horrifying actions humans take on the earth.

“I have enjoyed the work of Titiyo and the work of Paresse through the years. It was an amazing opportunity to do a music video for their great collaboration, released to help draw attention to the ongoing climate crisis. After listening to ‘Sharpened Knife’, I approached the video as painting the thought processes of Paresse and Titiyo in moments of half-awake and half-asleep, their reflections actually materialising on the surface of their bodies and faces.” - David Nord

The video also stars Dominique Palmer, who made a guest appearance on the track via quote. The climate activist is the leading U.K environmentalist who spoke at the 2019 United Nations Climate Change Conference and has now been invited by Miss Billie Eilish herself to come speak at OVERHEAT. The climate change event will be held in London on 10-12, 16 and 25-26 June and features some of the biggest musicians right now such as Yungblud, Girl in Red and Sigrid.
